Post-Graduate Students Presentations December 2015
As the culmination of a year's study of Academic Writing and Academic Presentation, students in the post-grad course give presentations in their chosen fields. Today it was two students from the English Department giving full papers, combined with two students from the Department of Library & Archival Sciences, giving summaries of their research. All papers and all Q & A were in English. It was a very stimulating event, and shows how well the post-graduate students are progressing, and enjoying their academic research.
Chiyoe spoke on 'The Use and Usefulness of Twitter in Academic Libraries'.
Kentaro, on 'Parallels between "The Sisters" and "The Dead" in James Joyce's Dubliners'.
Saki: 'Looking at The Statement on Intellectual Freedom in Libraries (1979), by Case Studies'.
Devendra spoke on 'Joyce's Eveline and Shakespeare's Desdemona'.
Kevin-sensei asked questions to all the speakers after each presentation.
Saki, Kentaro, Devendra, Chiyoe, and Martin-sensei.
And, Sagara-sensei also took part and asked many interesting questions, too.
What a nice group shot ! Thank you, Kevin-sensei !
